Stelios Kourakis Computer Scientist, MA Digital Arts. Stelios is an investigator on interactive communication in the Technology Department of Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona. He has worked on various multimedia projects, from interactive documentaries and educational applications to artificial intelligence, games and collaboration environments. Since 2003 he is a member of the European Academy of Digital Media.

Stelios is a multimedia programming professor in various postgraduate
degrees given by the audiovisual institute at UPF. He is currently
enrolled in the PhD on Computer Science and Digital Communication,
researching online communities.

Anthony Pennings, Ph.D. heads the program in New Media Studies at New York University. Dr. Pennings has research interests in the globalization of the Internet and World Wide Web

Go to NUA and gather some current statistics concerning online use in different areas of the world. Do not focus just on a particular country, but rather look at world regions.
